BBS is a company in Germany that specialises in the restoration of fire and water damage, sometimes also complete restoration. The company was founded in 1995 and they have taken part in some major rehabilitation projects such as fires, natural disasters, building defects, etc…
The company needed a new website to provide more information to its customers, especially since the company has a lot of offices around Germany that provide emergency lines 24/7. The website is built using a .NET CMS system to ease content inputting and updating, and also provide an easy way to update and insert images. Flash was used for the rotating banners in the sidebar and makes use of xml for the data inside the flash object, though other effects make use of jQuery and jQuery UI animate the content.
BBS-DE.de makes use of a multi-level menu that provides an easy way to access the content quickly throughout the whole site, there is also a sitemap that displays all the available pages in the website.
Royal Outlet Berndt OHG is a German company that sells wallpapers, tiles and other products related to interior design. In 2011 Royal Outlet embarked on a project to setup an online e-commerce shop to sell their products online throughout Germany and therefore reach more customers without the need to open more physical shops in different regions.
Their website is built using Magento which is one of the most powerful and feature-rich e-commerce systems. The website went through a lot of customisations, from custom email templates and design, sliding banners throughout the whole site, custom product id search form and custom advanced search. The website has over 3,500 products and they are increasing every week. A blog was also installed and designed to match the website design to provide tips, news and information about the products
Solaxis GmbH is a company based in Germany that focuses on analysing and installing photovoltaic systems for homes and companies. In 2011 they needed a new website to showcase their projects, the products they can provide for solar energy consumption, information about their company and amongst all, a configurator, that analyses the location and orientation of the house and provides feedback on if photovoltaic panels can be installed or not.
Their website is built using a .NET CMS system which provides an easy way for the client to input and update content and images. The amount of flash usage is reduced to a very minimum if not used at all, as most effects have been developed using jQuery and jQuery UI. Solaxis.de is also cross-browser compatible although due to lack of CSS3 support in older browsers the design will fallback to the browser being used.
